Frequently Asked Questions

There is a 15 minute call for all behaviour cases to allow me to understand your needs.  The initial session will either be at your house or online via zoom if preferred.  For behaviour, ideally, I would need to see the dog or dogs in their home habitat, and for other services being relaxed in a comfortable home environment will help the conversations.

All payments are to be made at the start of the session either by cash or direct bank transfer.

Pain can cause a dog to act or react to situations differently and therefore getting a clean bill of health from a vet is key.  There will be situations where I will not take a case until a vet has confirmed there is no physical reason for the changes.

If something changed very quickly I would recommend a vet check before engaging a behaviourist.  Sudden changes with no apparent reason may be caused by pain and this needs understanding.

Often the behaviour happens in specific circumstances which you cannot replicate at will.  Having videos for me to see will help me see the dogs' actions and body language, which will help me find the right treatment for your case.

Most, but not all, situations can be discussed in the home. Certainly, most of the information needed to build a tailored plan for you can be discussed in the house, without putting the dog under any stress.
